The rapid development of technology has changed our living environment at such a pace that the wisdom of our ancestry and related cultural heritage are gradually disappearing. With regard to agricultural irrigation, the events and objects that once existed in the course of its development, if collected through modern information technology from the respective of technological development and culture, will prove their value in perennial preservation as well as in extension and the passing-on of culture.This project, therefore, initiated by TAOYUAN Irrigation Research & Development Foundation, was intended to integrate the efforts of experts in agricultural irrigation in Taiwan and of the related academics to combine information technology and the Internet for the establishment of the Digital Museum for Agricultural Irrigation in Taiwan. This project made a lot of digitization and implementation tasks of web pages for agricultural irrigation objects, which was according to the planning report [A Digital Museum for Agricultural Irrigation in Taiwan] and the prototype of this digital museum.This project have finished implementing the first stage of the Digital Museum for Agricultural Irrigation in Taiwan, includes two flattened regions: Agricultural Irrigation Region and Farm Tools Region. The Agricultural Irrigation Region has four exhibition halls: Agricultural Irrigation Historiography, Water Resources for Agricultural Irrigation, Agricultural Irrigation Canals, and Agricultural Irrigation Tools. The Farm Tools Region has five exhibition halls: Soil Preparation Tools, Precaution Tools for Cultivation. Harvest and Transit Tools, Store and Manufacture Tools, and Livelihood and Convention Tools
